A Community Woven in Faith

Tap Kids

At the Tapestry, we believe in weaving the whole family into our community of faith – and that includes a vital and lively Children’s Ministry.  We provide a fun and safe place for children to: Know, Grow, and Go!

Sunday Worship

On Sundays, children come into the sanctuary with their families to begin by worshiping together. After announcements, the children are invited to come up to the front for a short Kids’ message, drama, or song before being dismissed to Sunday School.

Often we try to follow a church-wide curriculum so that the whole family can root themselves in the same soil.  We hope this will sprout meaningful conversations at home! This fall, we will be using the Bible-in-Life curriculum from David C. Cook.

During both Sunday morning services, we offer classes for kids from three to four years old to those in Grade Five.  We also provide a warm and welcoming nursery for infants and toddlers.  We encourage our older youth to stay within the regular Sunday Worship service, as well as to grow and serve with us as Leaders-in-Training at TapKids.

At The Tapestry, we value your children’s security.  Parents must check their children in prior to the start of service though a computerized system located at the TapKids Welcome Table, and receive a number and a nametag for their child(ren). Parents are given a copy of the nametag that will then be used to pick their child(ren) up from class.

AWANA

Awana will be starting up on Fall 2017!

AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15). The ministry is to disciple children, youth and parents to be workmen of God; to develop them into vibrant leaders at home, church and in the community

Awana Club at the Tapestry reaches out to kids and parents. Through scripture-based programs and exciting fun games, kids are attracted to develop their faith at their early age. This builds the foundation for their purpose of life and the hope for the future. When parents involve in Awana, walk along side with the children in their journey to know God, this builds stronger families.

If your child is age 4 to grade 6, come join us this Fall on Saturdays 4:00-5:30pm. Program run weekly from October to end of April with winter break and spring break. Registration begins in August.

Parent participation is required as small group leaders, helpers, worship leaders, large group time speakers, secretary, or other roles.  Training will be provided. To find out more, please contact sue@thetapestry.ca
