Favourite Song!

With it being Grammy Sunday this week at the Tap, we're going to take a look at John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change" as a springboard to talk about the Christian life.

What's your favourite all-time song and why?

For me, being a U2-junkie, it's a hard call... Bad, Streets Have no Name, Grace, I could go on and on and on.  It'll take too long to explain why, you'll have to listen to the podcast of my sermon on U2 back in Apr. 2005 for a decent explanation.

Anyone seen "the Police" around town?  They will be performing at the Grammy's this Sunday.  I saw Sting in concert back in the day... awesome!

Every Breath You Take

Speaking of the Police, "Every Breath you Take" was a great song!

Although some people didn't like it because it was considered a stalker song... it can also be thought of as God speaking... and always watching and looking out for you.

My all-time favourite is

My all-time favourite is Paranoid Android by Radiohead. Absolutely beautiful song. And it ends with Thom York repeating in emo fashion "God loves his children", which is very un-Radiohead. But the all-time classic still must be Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb (Rolling Stone magazine disagrees and places it an abysmal #314 of all time). http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/500songs

ONE

I really enjoyed your acoustic rendition of U2's "ONE" on Sunday.

That's one of my favourite songs. Funny thing, I didn't fully realize all the meaning behind it until Sunday.
