On the Trinity and Creation

“Fellowship, camaraderie, togetherness, communion have always been at the center of the very bring of God, and always will be. It is critical to see this. And it is just as critical that we see that the shared life of Father, Son and Spirit is not one of sorrow and loneliness and emptiness. It is not about isolation or self-centeredness. It is all about fellowship. And fellowship means that God is not a lonely, sad and depressed being. As Father, Son and Spirit, living in fellowship, God is essentially and eternally very happy.

I Am Only One

I am only one,
but I am one.
I can't do everything,
but I can do something.
What I can do,
i ought to do.
And what I ought to do,
by the grace of God
I will do.

A Tapestry of Words

So it has been a long time since my last post. But I think I'm going to start it going again by posting a nifty text cloud of 150 of the most frequent words used on our blog. The bigger the word the more frequent the usage. The black text cloud is Pastor Al's blog, and the white text cloud are all blog posts. Al... I think you need to use love more :).

What do you think of the text clouds? Are they reflective of The Tapestry as a community? Goat, Teresa, Millionaire make me smile. They're kind of like inside jokes aren't they?

Christianity in Motion (a devo pt1)

“But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “Tell me to come to you on the water.”

Love so deep you can get lost.

Thirty-three years. That is approximately how old Jesus was when he was crucified, the moment that abruptly put an end to his life. Hanging there he must have known that it was only a matter of time before his body would give out. A seeming infinity before his heart would begin to beat too slowly for his frame and eventually trail off into silence. And, when it happened, under a million stars wrenched with disbelief, the whole world stood still, crashing to a halt like a fallen satellite.
