Tap Reach

The Tap is committed to being a community of believers within the larger context of the city. The social and environmental issues within our local community are important to us and we understand that by helping those around us grow, we allow ourselves to grow as well.

Current Partnerships

Joy Fellowship

Joy Fellowship is an interdenominational Christian ministry which has as its specific concern the needs of people with mental or physical disabilities. They are united in Christ, a family seeking to love one another, grow in our relationship with Jesus, and share the gifts God has given us with those that are met. They want to clearly proclaim the great worth, dignity, and honor that belong to all of us because we are created in God’s image. Currently there are members from the Tap that have been participating and helping at an evening Sunday service at 10351 No. 1 Road (Emmanuel Christian Community Church) from 4:30 - 5:30pm for a worship service. A potluck dinner follows after.

Bethesda Christian Association
Closely associated with Joy Fellowship is Bethesda Christian Association. In the manner that Jesus showed mercy and compassion, the founding parents of Bethesda wanted to embrace Jesus' act of kindness in helping individuals with disabilities and their families - this central theme continues to be a focus of workers at the agency. Primarily, Bethesda supports individuals who have developmental disabilities.

Richmond Food Bank
The Tap is always accepting donations for the Richmond Food Bank. Just bring them to service and drop them in the box! Most needed items include peanut butter, macaroni & cheese dinners, rice and pasta, canned milk, sugar, feminine hygiene products, personal care products, large diapers, iron fortified formula, juices, tinned beans, tinned fruits & veggies, soups, cleaning supplies, office supplies, plastic grocery bags (used OK).
